Support for funding applications to provide Traditional Chinese Medicine STEAM courses and establish Chinese herbal medicine gardens in primary and secondary schools.
Campus Traditional Chinese Medicine Garden Construction and STEAM Curriculum Plan
Primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong can apply for funding through various government and public funds every year to implement Chinese medicine STEAM courses, Chinese herbal garden construction and related interdisciplinary education projects. Herbs Origin is familiar with the application requirements and review key points of each fund, and provides one-stop support to schools from project conception and application writing to project implementation and effectiveness reporting.

Quality Education Fund (QEF)
Direct Fund Programme Cumulative cap now raised to $3,000,000
QEF is a major source of funding for school-based curriculum development and student support initiatives, covering curriculum design, teaching equipment, campus facility improvements, and related manpower support.
QEF Enhanced My Action Commitment Funding
Publicly funded schools can apply for the "Enhanced Version" and "Enhanced Version Phase 2" grants. The two cannot run concurrently but can be applied for sequentially, for a combined total of up to $600,000.
EDB "AI for Empowering Learning and Teaching" Funding Programme

Chinese Medicine Development Fund (CMDF)
CMDF supports the promotion, education, and professional development of Chinese medicine, suitable for school or community projects centred on TCM cultural heritage and public education.
Life-wide Learning and Sister School Grant
Life-wide Learning and Sister School Grant Recurring annual funding · No separate application required
This is a recurring annual allocation automatically provided by the EDB to public sector schools based on the number of approved classes — no separate application is needed. It supports experiential learning, interdisciplinary (including STEAM/AI) activities, and moral education activities.
Environment and Conservation Fund (ECF)
Environment and Conservation Fund Environmental education and sustainable development projects
ECF welcomes applications from local non-profit organisations, and schools are among the eligible applicant types. Its "Publicity and Education Projects" category is particularly well suited to herbal garden projects centred on ecological education, horticultural planting, and environmental practice.

公帑資助學校可申請「加強版」及「加強版第二階段」撥款，二者不可同時進行，但可先後申請，合計最高 $600,000。

加強版第二階段： 每校上限 $300,000，在上述主題基礎上，新增「促進學生身心健康」主題
「促進學生身心健康」呼應本草源治未病、身心調和的核心理念，適合設計結合中醫養生、情緒管理及正念元素的校本活動。

Environment and Conservation Fund (ECF)
The Environment and Nature Conservation Fund welcomes applications from local non-profit organizations, and schools are among the eligible applicants. The "Environmental Education and Community Participation Projects" (EE&CA Projects) are particularly suitable for the Chinese herbal medicine garden construction project, which focuses on ecological education, horticulture, and environmental practices—aiming to raise community awareness and knowledge of environmental issues and encourage students to take practical action to improve and conserve the environment.
📌 Important Notes: The ECF's "Special Funding Scheme" only accepts applications from organizations that have not previously received funding under the EE&CA Projects; schools with application records will need to have their eligibility confirmed on a case-by-case basis.

The Education Bureau's "AI for Empowering Learning and Teaching Funding Programme"
EDB Life-Wide Learning Grant for AI Education - A one-off grant of $500,000 per school
The Education Bureau will provide each public primary and secondary school with a one-off grant of $500,000 to purchase AI-related educational equipment and implement student activities, encouraging schools to integrate AI literacy into their curriculum. Herbs Origin's TCM STEAM curriculum design incorporates AI elements (such as Google Teachable Machine image recognition, Botpress chatbots, IoT sensors, and data visualization), aligning with the application focus of this grant.
