Campus Herbal Garden

Herbs Origin provides professional experiential TCM education services for primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong, helping schools naturally integrate TCM culture into their STEAM-based curriculum.

Through interactive workshops, hands-on herbal planting and identification activities, and one-stop design, construction, and teaching support for school herbal gardens, students learn about traditional Chinese wisdom through "learning by doing," enhancing their interdisciplinary abilities, health literacy, and cultural confidence.

In line with the Education Bureau's STEAM education and TCM culture promotion direction, our courses are suitable for primary and secondary schools,

and are eligible for relevant education subsidies or support from the TCM Development Fund.

Main services (can be divided into two sections)

1. STEAM Traditional Chinese Medicine Curriculum for Primary and Secondary Schools

Our experiential STEAM Traditional Chinese Medicine curriculum combines scientific observation, technological application, engineering design, artistic creation, and mathematical thinking to make Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) engaging and fun.

Course highlights include (can be designed according to school needs):

Herbal medicine identification and cultivation experience

Seasonal herbal tea preparation and seasonal health maintenance

Basic knowledge of physical health maintenance

Simple acupressure relaxation and preventive healthcare (the concept of "treating disease before it occurs")

Interdisciplinary inquiry projects (e.g., observing the relationship between plant growth and the environment, etc.)

Suitable for: Primary and secondary schools, whole-school or class activities

Teaching mode: On-site workshops, small-class interaction, combined with school-based curriculum or extracurricular activities

Course advantages: Led by registered TCM practitioners or professional instructors, emphasizing both theory and practice, transforming students from passive learners to active explorers.

2. Campus Herbal Garden Design, Construction, and Teaching Support

We provide one-stop campus herbal garden services to help schools create green educational bases with educational value.

Services Offered:

Site Assessment and Floor Plan Design (tailored to school space and teaching needs)

Construction and Ecological Layout of the Chinese Herbal Medicine Garden

Planting Guidance and Student Experience Activities

Educational Value: The school's Chinese herbal medicine garden is not just a landscape feature, but also a "living textbook." Students can plant seeds, observe growth, record data, and apply what they have learned to STEAM inquiry projects, while cultivating a sense of responsibility and environmental awareness.
